Chocolate Olive Oil Cake

I love this cake it has a rich deep chocolate flavour with earthy olive oil tones. Pared with a sweet chocolate vanilla frosting it is a delicious treat that will impress any chocolate lover!

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients except the chocolate in a bowl and make a well in the middle
  2. Pour the wet into the well and mix with a whisk till the batter just comes together
  3. Fold the chocolate into the mix and pour into a pre lined and greased 8 inch cake tin
  4. Bake in a preheated oven for 40 mins at 180 degrees or till the skewer test comes out clean
  5. Leave in the tin for at least 10mins then remove and finish cooling on a wire rack
Choc Vanilla Frosting
  1. Whip all the ingredients together, easy as that 🙂

Once the cake is cool ice as desired and serve with oat or soy cream and enjoy xox If you are feeling extra rushed or lazy a can of Betty Crocker icing would also do the job 😉
